Play Silks are great-My kids are playing superheros...

We bought dd playsilks for christmas. She plays with them alot. This morning dd7 & dsd10 are playing superheros. This has them both with capes on and they run around and around and around the house... Did I mention that they run around? Our ground floor is set up so they run in circles--through the kitchen, down the hall, through the living room, dining room,in the kitchen again...We have hard wood floors so they so loud when they run...I'm getting a headache:(

They are great, I agree.

I used to buy remnants and hem them -- everything from black satin to gold lame (sorry, don't know how to put the accent mark in) to you name it as long as it was a fabric that draped well. All of my kids loved playing with them, and we had enough cool looking fabrics that they never fought over who got what. Such a simple thing to bring out so much imagination!

Playsilks are a huge hit here too. Ds9 and my nephew4 are always playing pirates, knights, or superheroes with them. Ds also uses them to set up scenes for his other toys, such as his Native American set or his action figures. My ds17 mos loves them for peek-a-boo and my niece18 mos like to cuddle with them. They get more use than almost any other play item in my home.
