This may not sound like a big deal, but it is HUGE to me. We became unintentional co-sleepers when he was 5 months old because we were staying with my parents while we were renovating. He has since became accustomed to sleeping with his Mommy and Daddy at night and will not nap unless he is being held. I have been struggling to get anything accomplished.

My husband didn't want him to sleep in his own room because he complained that he wouldn't get to "snuggle" with him and the baby might wake up and be scared if he found himself alone. I finally convinced my husband after a rough night with the baby. He has slept in his room the past two nights!!

Without the worry of him falling out of the bed without me, I was able to get up, have breakfast, take a shower and enjoy some "me time" this morning before he woke up smiling and playing in his crib.

I know it isn't the greatest thing to ever happen, but I am so happy!!

Sounds great. Long may it continue.

So happy for you! We've had kids/babies in our beds off and on since our first was born 6 years ago! I know what a success it is to finally get them "out" for good and have the bed back to yourselves!

I don't know, when you have young ones, getting enough sleep is a very good thing for Mom and Dad! I'd say it is a pretty exciting development!
