Coolrunning.com I believe has a gentler version of couch to 5K.

I used one from prevention magazine. It's 40min 6 days a week
walk 5 run/jog 1min walk 1 min for the next 30 min then walk 5 min
week 2 walk 5 run/jog 2min walk 1 min for 30min then walk 5min
week 3 walk 5 run/jog 3min walk 1 min for 30min then walk 5 min
I believe by week 6 it the running jumped by 2 min intervals instead of 1 and I always finished the hour. I started this august and I can now jog/run for 1 hour but I change it up with sprints, inclines etc.

Keep up the good work! :)

I started running at age 43, ran the NYC marathon at age 47, and now at age 52, I feel better than I did 20 years ago!

That's great! I trained for and completed a 3 day walk (www.the3day.org) in November, and I am hoping to walk a marathon this April. I am trying to increase the amount I can run/jog, and it's coming, but very slowly. (I am a very unathletic person, so even running a tiny bit is a huge accomplishment for me personally.)

I have not been very good about following the training program recently, but I'm trying to get better.
