I'm getting the basics down but there are things that inquiring minds still want to know.:confused:

Usually once it reaches a certain number of replies, it becomes a hot thread.

I'm getting the basics down but there are things that inquiring minds still want to know.:confused:Judging from another forum I frequent with this same format, "hot" threads have a lot of traffic. Lots of people clicking on them -- "viewings". It doesn't seem to depend on actual replies. For example, there's a "hot" thread now with only 4 replies, but nearly 200 viewings. Other threads with many more replies, but far fewer viewings, are not "hot".
