Reverse cell phone directory?

Are there any out there that are free?
Some phone calls were made from one of cell phone lines and we'd like to find out who these people are without actually calling the numbers.

So far all the reverse directories online for cell phones have a fee and we don't want to use them (don't trust them for that matter).

You could call those numbers from a public telephone. That's probably what I would do.
