Do any of you riders have Australian tack?

I mostly use my CA saddles, but I do have an horned Aussie. I want to get a new saddle pad and maybe a crupper. Let me know if you've ever used one or the other, and when you get bored today go check them out on ebay and see if you can give me some feedback. I'm already using a brea$t collar for a little more stability.

No, but I ride in a treeless McClellen saddle with a breastplate. Might be in the same category. I really want to get a crupper. I think Andalusians look so hot with a crupper. Plus there's the stability thing. But that's the purchase that just doesn't seem important enough to make.

oh!! I was *just* thinking today about those Australian saddles!! If i ever get my dream horse this is the tack i want, lol.

When I worked at the stables in San Antonio one summer they used a couple of Aussie saddles --we all argued good-naturedly over who's turn it was to ride them! The best of both worlds :-) Unfortunately I am not knowledgeable enough to offer pros and cons, but I do recall the owners being very pleased....
