DH is such a patient person so I know it will go well.

So, how was your first driving lesson?

Mine.....well here goes. My dad picked me up from work the day I got my learners permit and said drive home. :001_huh: Who me what huh I never I don't know YIKES.....okay. Needless to say I have never driven anything expect a bicycle to this point unless you count my aunts snow mobile I drove into the river. So I was all over the road,d riving with both feet my dad and brother both were looked um frightened for lack of a better word by the time we got home. My brother jumped out of the car and said something about never driving with me again. My dad said nothing and walked in the house with a few more grey hairs. He gave up on me after a few more tries and just told me to drive to and from work and that's what I did except I hated to make left turns, They made me nervous so for months what was a 5 min drive to work became 15or more as I made my way around with right turns to get to work.:tongue_smilie:

I had one lesson as a teen. I went out on a farm road with my Dad and brother and his dog. I did fine on the straight-aways but I guess I drove a bit fast. When I turned a corner, only 2 wheels were still on the road! When I stopped my Dad was shell-shocked, my brother weak-kneed and his dog jumped out and refused to get back in the car! I didn't have another lesson until I was in college in my 20's. :auto:

We're teaching our son to drive now. We have about 6 months now and it's WAY better than at first (which was much like Jean described). For whatever reason, it seems to go much better with me than with dh. (Can you say alpha dog?)

Good luck! Those days will be here for me before I know it and I am dreading it already!
