Jump from R&S grammar 3 to 5?

I know grammar is so much review. Do any of you see a problem if I jump from 3 to 5? We are "behind" as far as being on the right grade level but our constant review of grammar has us on level. I'm concerned 4 will be SO much review of what we've done so much of before that it will be too boring. Grade 5 might be more of a challenge.

Am I wrong? Would I be making it harder on us? Is doesn't really matter to me either way, but I do have to order right NOW. We've completed level 3 and reviewed it all also. Procrastination!

Well, I have heard time and again that levels 3 and 5 are review, so you might just try skipping over 4. If it doesn't work out, you can still buy 4 and will have 5 on hand when you're done with 4.

I think it's a win-win situation. :)

Edited because I said that level 3 is a review and it's not...duh...it's a good starting place. Anyhoo...

We did it! We're about halfway through 5th grade grammar now. The only place he's stumbled a bit is with prepositions. I'm not sure why, but they seem to have left his brain. I think it's just him rushing through his lessons without stopping to concentrate, but otherwise all has been well.

We did 3 last year and (of course) are doing 4 this year. Yes, there is a LOT of review. I would say that my ds could have handled 5 this year. Let us know what you think when you see it!

We tried skipping R&S 4 and it was a big mistake. R&S 5 was so much heavier than 3. So, I guess I'd say, be prepared for the increased intensity, workload, and probably more time on your part. Hopefully, it will work better for you as it did the other posters! :)

Well, I did buy 5 right after these discussions and contributions. We've received it and started it. So far, so good.
