Has anyone used these? We were going to go with Apoligia for the upper sciences but son decided he didn't like it and wanted to stick with Abeka ( which he has been using since first grade). We heard that BJU is too complicated without homesat (which we can't afford). I am unsure if the DVD labs are well done or if they constitute a lab credit. We can't afford all of the expensive lab equipment to accompany the course. We would appreciate any input or direction because I really am not sure which route to take. Thanks in advance.

I e-mailed Dr. Wile last year and asked them if they were planning on adding a DVD component to the upper-level science. Rusty Hughes, who teaches Biology through The Potter's School, e-mailed me back and said they were going to do a sample module with DVD this summer (I think it was with the Biology, but don't quote me on that) and see how it went. I do hope they add a DVD component, because it would help make it so much more understandable and engaging for the kids. My dd is doing chemistry this year, and working hard at it, but we're supplementing with The Teaching Company's High School Chemistry DVD's with Frank Cardulla.
If you hear that they've come out with the DVD component, though, please let us all know!
