I use the one on the back of the hershey's cocoa box. Sometimes I add some instant coffee.

My gf uses powdered milk, powdered creamer, cocoa, confectioners sugar and instant coffee. She swears it is all "to taste" and mixes it with water or milk.

The other one I like is 1 cup semi sweet chips (or mixture milk chocolate and semisweet), 1 T or so of sugar, splash of vanilla chopped in a blender. Heat 1/3 cup milk and 1 beaten egg then add to chocolate in blender. Mix well - adjust sugar as needed. If you drink this hot- it is very thick like Spanish hot chocolate - great with cookies to dunk! IF you put it in the fridge - it thickens like a mousse and is great with a dollop of whipped cream

Laura's Hot Cocoa Mix( I wish I knew where this came from, but I found it online somewhere)
2 cups powdered milk
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
1/2 cup powdered non-dairy creamer
1 dash of salt
Miniature marshmallows or cream, optional
Combine all ingredients and store in a in tightly sealed container.
Makes about 4 cups of hot cocoa mix.
Directions
Add 3 to 4 tablespoons of mix to a mug and fill with hot water.
Stir to blend. Add some marshmallows or cream.

Bulk hot cocoa mix
16c. powdered dry milk
1 ¼ cup cocoa powder
5 cups Sucanat ( or regular sugar)
½ t. salt
In a large bowl mix all ingredients well and store in an airtight container or zip lock bags.

To use measure 1/3 cup of mix into a cup and add hot water and stir.

I either use the one on the back of the Hershey's Cocoa box or I use Nestles Quik.

A long time ago, Good Housekeeping magazine had an article which rated the Nestles as the best tasting, so I tried it, and it is good. I prefer cocoa, though.
