My kids really do help!

My two oldest are at camp this week. Which means most of the daily chores fall to me. I realized today that I really miss their help. Today I had to clean the hamster cage. Blech! I miss those kids!:lol:

Make sure you tell them how much you appreciate them when they come back - before you give them the chore list!

I think that I have it made in the shade. My dc's do most of the house cleaning including supper dishes. Now this is the life. Now I know how my mom felt once she got us trained properly.:001_smile:

Ds8 is helping me more lately. We had a water leak today and he helped me rip up carpet, pull up soaked padding, take doors off his closet...just lots of help. I love him. :D

I just recently started a reward system with DD1 (5yo) and she has a few simple chores she has to do - clearing dishes from the table, picking up her toys, cleaning up her room, helping me with folding and putting away laundry. Wow! It's really making a difference! All of a sudden, the house is staying clean!!!

Kids are great, aren't they?
