Anyone who makes Ree's cake or a similar sheet cake, will it work in another pan? sm

My only jelly roll pan is dark, and I'm afraid it would make the cake get too done and not be as moist. Also, I don't have buttermilk, or vinegar or lemon juice to sour milk. So, would regular milk work? Thanks!:)

Another pan will work just great, but you need the buttermilk!

I never use buttermilk. You can use milk with lemon or vinegar, but I often just make it with milk. It always comes out moist!
