history of us - hakim - video / dvd ?

I have purchased this set and have found the pbs website that accompanies them......BUT, I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can watch the series. I haven't found a place online to watch or even a place where I can rent them. I'd rather not buy them, but I may have no other choice.

Are you talking about the DVD series based on Hakim's book "Freedom A History of US"? If you are, I borrowed this set from our local library. This is the companion to the PBS series from Kunhardt Productions.

Yes, that's the DVD I've been looking for. None of our libraries have it - and we are near a BIG city. I looked at Blockbuster & Netflix and neither one of them carry it either. Hmph.

Was it good? Would you recommend it?

maybe your library can get it for you thru Inter Library Loan?

That's the most frustrating part - I looked on our computer last night at the library catalogs of our 3 surrounding counties and NONE of them carry it. Strange. :confused:
