I need to find an art program and a French program for my second grader for next year. I'd like these to be the subjects where we really have fun. He is extremely visual and likes cute, colorful materials, and I feel like for these supplemental subjects, I can try to accommodate that for him.

My soon to be 6 year old dd will be doing these subjects with him, so I'm looking for something geared for 5-8 year olds.

Suggestions, please?

We like Artistic Pursuits for art... it's not cute, but uses a lot of real supplies and they learn to think like artists. For French I really have no idea for curriculm (hoping others do, too) but found some cute storybooks at Barnes & Noble that have the story in French & English and include a CD that has the story read by native speakers with extra songs and lyrics. They're by Berlitz I think and I was thinking of getting some just to introduce the sounds of the language in an exceptionally low key and fun way. HTH
