View Full Version : Well, since we are homeless, I guess we will head to the beach....

After weeks of packing, I should be sitting in my new house tonight. We were informed earlier this week however, that our house will not be ready to move into until the end of next week. We cancelled the movers, and had everything loaded into PODS yesterday. Despite the fact that this is the shortest distance we have EVER moved, it has been the hardest, most exhausting, and most complicated move we have ever had. So, we have decided if we are going to have to pay to stay somewhere for a week, we might as well have a little R&R. Tomorrow morning, we are coast-bound. My dh does not go anywhere without a laptop though, so I should still be able to get my board fix!

How frustrating!! I hope your trip will be relaxing, so at least some good will come of the delay.

Have a wonderful vacation! Rest up for all that moving, unpacking, etc.

Sorry it has been such a mess for you. I feel like holding my breath everytime we move, you never know if it's a done deal until the last moment.

Hope the beach allows you to relax some. I call it "Beach Therapy".

I'm sorry your house wasn't ready for you but at least you will get some rest before you have to undo all that you packed.....Have a wonderful time at the beach!!!

Surf some waves for me....we haven't been able to boogie board in two years.

:iagree: If possible, try not to think about it and have fun. No house to clean right now. No books to read, and I hope there is no urgency for the moment. That actually sounds adventurous.

Try to enjoy yourselves before the next stage, which I seem to be perpetually stuck in- the unpacking and organizing stage. Good news though, I have my hs box out and I hope to make heads and tails of my thoughts pre-move. Thankfully I wrote myself many notes, now I just need my brain to be able to focus on them! It's pretty bad when your child is BEGGING to do schoolwork, sigh.
