I get to do it however I want!!!!! I'm going through Trail Guide right now, lining up the chapters with history, and I just love that I can flip around and *gasp* do it out of order! and I won't get in trouble :D I grew up with a *very* controlling mother.....it is so much fun doing something my own way

:iagree:

Two days a week my kids are involved in a park program adjacent to my back yard. I have to say that it has given me a taste of what it would be like to send them to public school. Ah! I love being alone. I get so much done.

BUT, then I think about all of the freedom I would lose. Nope! I think I'll continue to homeschool. Like you, I enjoy getting to do what I want when I want (like planning and teaching in almost any order).

That's right, rearrange your chapters and let your inner rebel loose!

When my ds is gone I do enjoy some of the freedom. So what do I do with my time? Plan and research homeschool material. :D

Your last comment I found interesting. . .

If your child said that they wanted to do the order differently than you have organized it . . .(?)

I love scheduling too, but I tell you, my oldest gives me fits as he'll come and argue some scheduling point with me. (Not on how it's done, but the amount I expect.) Of course, my oldest is a teenager. . .

I love dreaming about lofty goals that have not reached the point of accountability, LOL!

I love the dreaming! I love visualising perfect days where my children enthusiasticly attempt everything I plan for them, and grasp every bit of it the first time around. All of it is done neatly without asking, and the children have obvious signs of lightbulbs going off in their heads like fireworks. They will actually go above and beyond without having to be asked. They will be the smartest children in the known world! AND everyone will get along in the process, AND ooze loving kindness and have a pollyanna effect wherever we go!

The application, however, is another story. Ugh!

:)

Pardon me. Everyone back to reality now!
