Last week at Barnes and Noble I saw a display of "The Portable Professor". I did not get to look closely as I was in a hurry.

Has anyone used it? Is it similar to "The Teaching Company?"

Any info welcome!
TIA,
Pam

I haven't used these yet, but I keep looking at them every time I go to Barnes and Noble. It seems like I recognized the person who did the C.S. Lewis tapes, but I can't remember who it was. At least they aren't as expensive as the Teaching Company, so I'm sure you could not lose too much money on them. You can always resell them too.

Sorry I'm not much help. HOpefully someone who has used them will chime in.

OH, it wasn't a C.S. Lewis tape, but here is the series I've been thinking of getting:
What Would Socrates Do?: History of Moral Thoughts and Ethics (Portable Professor Series) by Peter Kreeft. I've heard good things about Peter Kreeft. I also saw a Shakespeare series by Harold Bloom. I'm sure that would be a good one too. However, I haven't viewed them, but these are very good authors.
