I need a good microscope recommendation.
I LOVE science and do it for fun. Willing to invest in a good one.
What say you?
ETA - I had a good one as a kid - went to 1500X. Haven't seen one for a kid like that ever since!

The one sold by Sonlight is very good. It is appropriate for high school work, but my younger kids like using it too.

You might try searching for the word microsope in the curriculum forum, there have been a few threads on it.
It's National brand, binocular, from the 162 series. A wonderful microscope, well worth the money. They have excellent customer service, too. Our computer was acting wonky when we ordered the scope, and somehow my dh ended up buying 3 of them! Within a few hours a rep called to see just how many we really needed...

Ditto to the Sonlight microscope. We paid about $200 for it, and we just love it. My 17 yo used it for Biology, and my 9 yo uses it for everything else :D
Well worth the investment.
