I want to use AWOA, and everyone says how wonderful it is, but how about ANWOA??
Is there a reason why you do not hear that much about it?? Is it scary or something??

I don't know which programs you're referring to here, but I read it as AWOL from AWANA. I thought, sure, people leave AWANA all the time!

I LOVED our year with AWOA. Loved it so much that I was POSITIVE we'd never use anything else other than Learning Adventures, and Dorian just couldn't write them fast enough to suit me!
So I bought ANWOA as soon as it was ready. I hated it. It was SO much bigger and busier and, I don't know....just not as user-friendly to me as AWOA. So I sold it.
Then I bought it again.
Then I sold it.
And then, would you believe, I bought it again. LOL I was so determined that it had to be me; that ANWOA was JUST AS GOOD as AWOA; I was just....missing something.
Nope. Sold it again. dh said that while he never tells me what I can and can't do school-wise, I am under strict orders to NEVER buy ANWOA again! LOL
I will rant and shout from the rooftops about how wonderful AWOA is; but I'll honestly say that ANWOA just isn't the same.
I will say that another thing that turned me off was the idea of taking ONE year to do the ancients, middle ages, and explorers and then FOUR YEARS to do American history! Yikes!
That's my .02. YMMV :D

I echo DB loudly!!
These are two different animals all together. I bought and sold ANWOA twice. I really wanted the same experience we had with AWOA, but it was not to be. I wish Dorian would have left out the state studies. That would have made ALL the difference for me. I hated those things, and so did my ds. I mean what 4th-8th grader needs to know each states local government??? Who needs to read the same historical event over and over just because it happened in each state. It was boring and busy.

oh no!!!
It looked really huge. I am thinking of spreading it out over two years.
I do think state studies are important if it ties everything together. Hmm, we will see.
Thank you:001_smile:
