http://www.millenniumpark.org/

There's usually lovely concerts and such.

There's also the beach.

Lincoln Park Zoo is free, but you have to find parking. The zoo lot is $7 ???

beware - taste of Chicago opens Friday - lakefront from Art Institute south a few blocks will be crowded. If you can afford Taste (meals average 4 for a 'taste' portion) go early, like 11am when it opens.

Otherwise stay near Lincoln Park, etc. and wander around where the rich folks live. Walking out on navy Pier is free, too - again, like the zoo, it is parking that gets you!

Thanks, guys. We're staying on the Naval base. Taste of Chicago might be interesting.

I know the Cubs are @ the Sox and we can't afford Sox tickets. I wish the Cubs were playing at Wrigley this weekend.
