It was just one of those things
Just one of those crazy flings
A berry or lime or lemony zing,
Just one of those things.

It was just one of those nights
A Wiki entry, we're reaching the heights
A bottle of Mike's on gossamer wings
It was just one of those things.

If we'd thought a bit about the end of it
When we started drinking it down
We'd have been aware that our love affair
Kept us from wearing a frown.

So good-bye, dear, good-bye and amen
Here's hopin' we'll toast now and then
It was great fun
A short run
(Where's the rum?)
But it was just one of those things......
