I have Typing Instructor. My girls hate it! I think it's mostly because the CD has never really worked that good. If they try to play one of the games, the computer messes up. Now, the CD isn't running very well either, and it's frustrating to use. Besides all that, they are bored with it.

Does anyone have a different suggestion for something that will teach my dc how to type?

There is a really neat online teaching typing program/game -
http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/typing/

My 10yo and 7yo enjoy working with this program.

Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing seems to have good reviews. Maybe someone can comment on that?

We use Mavis Beacon. It's taught my three oldest how to type, and it's the first subject they wanted to do every day, so I feel comfortable recommending it.

Your suggestions are helpful. I've already checked out the BBC typing site, and it looks like it will be helpful and fun until I can get something else ordered.
