I have been looking into buying this for next year but I cant find anything on the website that says how long one of the books lasts (the number of lessons). I am going to do science everyday so I am not sure if I should just buy all three sets in level one, or if one set will do a whole year. Does anyone use these sets? How many lessons does one set (chemistry, biology or physics) have? Also did anyone buy the CDs? Are they worth the huge cost?

Thanks in advance

Each book has 10 lessons and I believe each lesson can be done in a week. (reading on one day and lab on another day). If you are going to do science everyday you would probably need to order all of the sets and maybe break up the reading into more days.

hth :)

I'm planning on doing science 1x a week and stretching one book out over 20 weeks. I think you could do it every day, but you will probably need all 3 books for the year.

Thanks so much. I will buy all three this year. I am hoping I can stretch it out to 36 weeks. Maybe I will buy the KOGs too to help it last long enough.

I have not used these yet so I am not the best person to ask about the specifics of the Kogs but heres a link to them on their website
http://www.gravitaspublications.com/products/kogs4kids/

From what I understand its another set of workbooks to use with their books. I am thinking of buying a few of these because all together the lessons would only be about 30 (from what everyone has posted) and I plan on having at least 36 weeks of school next year, maybe more, I have not decided. It depends on if I think we have covered everything well enough or if I think we should extend the school year.

Anyway, I think I will try a few of these Kogs next year and see how it goes.
