Do we need all of this, and why?

I only bought the $180 binder plus the tabs.

But a lot of us like them, LOL. I put every page in page protectors, so each unit needs its own 3" binder. There are 4 units/year. I like doing this so that I can write all over the sheet protectors, without messing up my pages, if I want to erase all my notes/markings, I can. Plus, this is just our first time through the cycle, and I plan on using it at least twice more - I might not want to do the same thing next time around, so I want the flexibility of erasing my notes. And, since I am going to be using it again and again, I just want my pages to be protected - from spills, from tearing, from my 3 year-old, LOL.

But - you don't need them. You can just put your four units in one binder without page protectors, and write on them or not, as you see fit.

This is for the most...anal...um no...organized...no....obsessive compulsive...ya, that it....of tapestry users. :p

If you don't want to mark your pages, given you will use this for more than one year, then page protectors allow you to make all the notes you need yet gives you a nice clean slate for next time.

Page protectors also require quite a bit more space to hold it all. If you think about it you have gone from one piece of paper to the paper and two pieces of plastic. Essentially you have tripled the amount of volume you are storing, thus the 4 3' D ring binders.

Wanna talk dots? (Evil grin) Each year plan has its own color and the most dedicated put colored dots on their books according to the year they are used in.

Heather (Who does page protect but has yet to do dots...but wants to.)

You forgot the hopelessly messy. That would be me. I need the page protectors. I must have them! I truly spill everything on everything. For my children's sake, I will buy them. :D

:D

I forgot to mention, I buy my page protectors and binders at Costco. Page protectors are $8 or $9 for 200, and binders are 2/$10.

I have not done dots....yet....but mostly because almost all of my books come from the library, and I don't think they'd like it. ;)

are laminated and labeled.
They have a sticker that says Year 1(red) and I came up with my own color ans labeled them Loer Grammar, Upper Grammar, Dialectic, and Rhetoric.
I just have to. It drives me bananas if they are not labeled and covered in clear contact paper. :)

The sheet protectors are $2.85 for 100, plus no tax(except for NY, I think), plus free UPS shipping for $75 or more.

I buy the goods to go with my... uh..hum... fetish at Costco too. :)

and back, so one sheet goes in one protector.

per unit, or very close. I just put unit 3 in sheet protectors and used up every one of my box of 200 plus a few that I had left from something else.
