Could someone tell me what these are like? My understanding is that you read a story and then go over discussion questions in FF and then there are activities to go along. Is this right? What kind of activities are involved?

That's the gist of it. It provides a lot of copywork...not the ball and stick, but I think it's italic. There are activities like making puppets out of brown paper bags, coloring pages, mazes, and some matching. I used these with my very advanced first grader and he was bored with them. However, I have high hopes for them with my ds4 (when he is in first grade) as I think he has more of a challenge with comprehension.
