Speaking of misleading headlines: 10-year-old veterinarian

This came up on my Yahoo page - a video about a "10 Year Old Veterinarian"

Wow, I thought, how did a 10-year-old get through a veterinary program that fast? Turns out she has a certificate for 8 months of classes online that allow her to be a veterinary assistant. While it's still impressive, there's a BIG difference there! They suckered me in to watching it, though....

This really bothers me, too. Right now the headline on Yahoo says she "just completed her college degree."

yeah, right.

Yeah, it grabbed me too. It is still impressive, but, like you said, it is a certificate and not a degree. There is a difference. I think that it would be hard for her to do all the physical work that is required of a vet. tech. It can be pretty physical sometimes. Good for her, though!
