United Streaming: How do I know if I can get this for free like some can?

I've been curious for some time but can't find anything online about it. Anyone know how I could find out? TIA

You'll have to call your local school district and ask if they subscribe to it and if they'd be willing to give you an access code.

I would recommend calling US themselves. My local district wouldn't let us, nor would the area education agency, but US says it is free for our state. They did the research for me and were very nice. Somewhere on their site there is a list of states that give free access. If you are not in one of those states, then I would talk to the school district like the pp said.

I have this number saved but, I am not sure if it is just for Michigan homeschoolers or not. YOu could give it a try and see what happens.

I just called united streaming...they told me that it is no longer free to any homeschoolers, but it was in the past. They said the ONLY state it is free in is GA from now on. Those who have it free, upon expiration will no longer have it. :confused:

That is the phone # I used when I received my account for free. That was about a year and a half ago so maybe they have changed it. Sorry :(

Why would it be free in Georgia then?
