I saw one person recommend this and the sets look really fun. Has anyone used any of their kits or bought the manual? I am hoping to do physics next year with my 1st and 4th grader.

That was probably me - but our big box just showed up today!!!!
The kids are jazzed with the stuff in there, DD took the book away from me at gymnastics to see what she could get started on. I'm very pleased with the Manual (the Science Mastery book), it is written easy enough for the kids to do on their own. The videos we have seen are very well done (electricity), and even my special needs 9yo was able to follow her teaching.
I'm guessing that on Friday or Saturday i'll have a bigger report after they dig in!

Oh, please remember to report back after you've had more time to look through & form an opinion! I would love to hear more about this program. :D Thanks!

Thanks

She was at HEAV this year and the kids never left her booth. We are all ready working on the rockets.
I picked up the tire plugs yesterday....we just need to collect the soda bottles.
We really wanted to justify the $500 she was selling the $1000. kit for but just didn't have it.
It does look great...I can't wait to see what you have to say about this program.

I split the Cost with the grandparents. I already had $90 budgeted to get a kit, but with the sale price - well, gee, i'm a sucker for a good deal :D The nice thing is that i'll pull a few kits and leave them down there for them to do.
And my kids are bummed that i didn't take them to convention - my friends kids were like yours, never wanted to leave the booth.
I should add that mine probably won't be doing it as a structured program. The oldest i will require to read thru the lessons, but i'm going for a learning by exposure with it. I figure they will do that rather than bug me they are bored :D Both of them also are doing BJU Science via Homesat, so that mets my structured needs.
All that said, if there is anything in particular you are wondering about - feel free to ask. Before DD took the book I noticed there are worksheets at the end of the chapters. Review type tests.
For my kids, the important thing is FUN. I'm not good at gathering the stuff up for them to be able to dig in. DD put the Electricity DVD in (we got a mini kit for buying the big one), and went to town. She right off latched onto making the burglar alarm! LOL!! They were waiting patiently for their Dad to get home to try it out - never mind the teal thread at chest level wasn't very secretive. LOL!
I"ll keep checking in - they'd be digging in today, but we have to take DH to the airport in Orlando so will be gone a good while of the day. Hence the tomorrow and saturday portion.
