I'm so sorry that she had a heart attack.

It's amazing what they can do with medicine for that, now.

I have a relative who had one, and with blood thinners and one of those angioplasties with stents, he was out of the hospital in just a few days.

He did cardiac rehab and, at 80, is much more vigorous than many 50 year olds.

May it be so for your mom...

I need to call the hospital this morning to see how she is doing. Yesterday was a looooong day. My dad had a stroke and a heart attack that he did not survive 10 years ago, so all of this is a mixture of present experiences and past memories.

If you pray for my mom, please also pray for her special friend, Don. I don't think either of them would know what to do if they lost the other. They are like a young couple who spends their days together--going dancing and out for dinner, and have been doing this for several years now. Two octogenarians...

Thanks.

I am so sorry to hear your news. It is exhausting to go through so much emotional upheaval. My darling father-in-law had a stroke last year and we sadly lost him. It was devastating to see him have to go through so much when he had so many plans. Life really isn't the same without him because he was always the one we went to for advice and unconditional love. We have now 'adopted' his best friend Frank because he has no family and somehow that is a way of keeping part of him with us.
I hope your mother makes a full recovery. I know my granny recovered fully from hers and was back to her old self. It is a good possibility. Whatever, make the most of every minute with them!

Oh Jean, I am sorry! Your family is having a rough go now, aren't you. I hope your mom is going to be ok. You'll have us praying for you all.

My MIL has a "friend" that sounds like the relationship with your mom and her friend. It has been a great blessing in her life to have that kind of companionship. I will keep your mom's friend in my prayers as well.

Blessings,

Praying for you, your mom, and your mom's friend. We have been through a lot of heart health issues with dh parents who are octagenarians. They have both had heart attacks and by-pass surgery. I know how difficult it can be on everyone concerned.

Blessings,
Lisa

Mom's enzyme level did not come down during the night. They are transferring her to a cardiac unit in a larger hospital and will do a catheterization later today.

Gotta run.

I'm sorry to hear about your mom, Jean. 19 years ago my mother had a heart attack, so I understand the feelings you're having. I will keep you in my thoughts.

Jean, It sounds like she is getting great care. I have relatives who live in Wisconsin, and the medical care there was so impressive to me. Everyone seemed to feel very responsible, just like you would hope they would, to make sure that the best thing happened for each patient. Praying for her and for you, too. Best, Carol
