How much time per day for Apologia biology using Sonlight schedules?

Is one hour per day enough? Is the amount of time per day using the SL schedules pretty consistent, or does it vary a lot from day to day?

Ds said it was about an hour a day, and consistent. I know sometimes the dissections and labs were a touch longer--and I didn't time the tests.
