She met two of the teachers and shook the Principal's hand.
It will be ok.
Sigh.
I think I'm accepting that this will be our life next year. (I'm going back to work part time to pay debt and save for ds' college.)

I also helped ds18 go thru the process of enrolling in Community College for two courses--he has to test first, since we don't have the SAT's back yet. At least the process is started. They were quite helpful--and we picked a campus that is only 15 minutes away and has just one building--"13th Grade."

I don't know, I'm feeling a little ok about it all, and a little "well, it is what it is," which is the phrase dsil uses when she just accepts what is happening and doesn't stress over it.

At least dd's school is pretty good. Most of third grade will be review for her, but that may be good as she gets adjusted to school--not having the teacher sit beside her, working with more distraction, etc. And we ran into two people from church, who volunteer there and will "keep an eye on her."

I have decided to study for the Praxis II test. If I pass it and jump thru a few more hoops, I can become certified in VA. Then perhaps I could homeschool someone else's child and dd at the same time in a couple of years.
