When you mentioned this before, I looked into it but never got it. Looking at their order page is DAUNTING.

Can you help a little?

I have 3 students (both kids listed in signature and me).

My daughter has studied Spanish 3 years, two doing BJU (1 and 2) and then doing a mix. She can speak as necessary (uses an online translator for an odd word here or there if she's translating a song for example), read literature, etc. But she's not "fluent" by real standards I wouldn't guess.

My son is a late bloomer academically and I'm wondering if I SHOULD introduce Spanish to him yet. My daughter encourages me to because 1) she thinks he'll find it easier, 2) he could use the confidence boost, and 3) she think it'll help him with English grammar and such.

And then there is me. I took Latin and did well with it in school (National Latin Exam, etc). My confidence is in the dirt when it comes to learning new things as I find reading and attention very difficult since my stroke (not that you can tell by the length of my posts...kinda helps that I type REALLY fast).

Anyway, I was looking at the beginner package but it looks like my daughter would be able to zoom through that with no problem. I also considered getting the "everything we've ever published" dvd. Would we just print the textbook from there, copy what mp3s we needed for each person's use, etc?

Oh, we do have a Spanish congregation we can attend as well as spend time with other Spanish speakers. So we have THAT side covered if we learn enough to understand anything (my daughter COULD, but) :)

Yep!

They also have placement tests.
