I taught some co-op classes for grades 7-8 this past year in history, Bible, and logic. One of the students is applying to the Catholic high school for grade 9 and is looking for some sort of transcript for what we did in class. I can find plenty of four-year high school transcript samples online, but has anyone done one for just a couple classes? Or maybe all I need is to write a letter with course descriptions?
TIA.

Phyllis, it does sound like a letter with course descriptions and how the child fared in the class may be the best option. You can also give contact information should they need any further information.

Phyllis, could you simply fill out a transcript form like the online one from Covenant College, with the information about what course, what grade, what student, and then use that? It might look official enough for a high school admissions officer...

I've had a few of my tutoring students who needed to have 'verification' of coursework. I wrote brief detailed letters that included a detailed course description and any teacher 'recommendations' I may have had for the student--and grade earned if needed.

Thank you for your suggestions. I've combined a bit of a transcript look (with grades) along with course descriptions and materials used along with a note of recommendation.
