Can anyone tell me how this works? Can I use it on its own or do I need to buy the TWSS DVDs as well?
Thanks!:)

I haven't heard of this. Is this a curriculum? Where do I find out more about it?

It's from IEW - there's a whole series of them: Ancient History, Medieval, US History, etc.
We've used the Medieval one - and loved it. However, it is assumed that you know the 'system' as presented in the TWISS set - theses are books that expand on that knowledge.
It really makes it easy to implement TWISS, though, and are a fantastic addition to any history curriculum.
Linda.

Join the IEW families yahoo group and look through the files to get a better understanding of the program.
Watch IEW explained on Youtube (http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=iewtv&search_type=) - first "Welcome" next "Teaching Writing Structure and Style parts 1 & 2" and then "Theme Based Writing".
