I read about this quiz in my local paper. It was given to over 14,000 college students, and most of them flunked. The article about the test concluded that colleges were not doing a good job teaching history.

I took the quiz out of curiosity. I got just over 88%. How did you do?

I think the conclusion should be that high schools are not doing a good job teaching history.

My recollection of college history was that I took *one* course in an area of interest. That is certainly not the place to be learning the bulk of your history knowledge.

I got an 83%. There were several questions that I don't remember being covered at all in my history classes.

I only got a 73%. I guess I need to hit the books!

There were a bunch of economics questions that probably wouldn't be covered in a history class.
