33 people have visited and no one has commented. So, could I assume the lurkers are still lurking? Or is this just my own peculiar sense of humor?
:D
I 2nd it: Welcome, lurkers!

Hi everyone! I have three daughters and we're in our second year of homeschooling. I've learned so much from you guys already! :) So anyhow, here I am. *waves*

Hmmm, I think some of us are checking in to see if any lurkers are identifing themselves. But, alas, no one seems to be here ! Ha ha. I think there are some new folks here.

I read the boards for about 6 years and only occasionally posted. I didn't mind registering. I like this format so much better, so I will probably be posting more frequently. :)

I've been reading these boards for several years, but only post occasionally. I registered so when I do decide to post, I'll already "be in the system". The new format is great. Who knows, maybe I'll start posting more often. :)

Me.
I've been on the WTM boards for about 6 years but I hardly ever post. (Once every few months maybe)
The new format will make it a lot easier for me to post and join in conversatons.

I guess I qualify as a lurker! :) Assuming that "lurking" refers to those of us who read the posts, but don't participate! Good news is I'm a friendly "lurker"! Just cautious w/ offering my opinion :p

Well I used to be on more than I have been lately.
I'm just so glad they've switched to this forum. I love it!!
They were so hard to keep up with though. This is easier to read.I'll have to have my children help me figure out how to do avatars and things like that now though.I lurked for years.Dial up wasn't too great for trying to post.I'd be in the middle of typing and everything would shut down.

Well, I hate how creepy it sounds :) , but I've been lurking on the boards for years and only occasionally posting. I really like the new format and will probably post more now.
I was TinaM on the old boards. Guess I must be the only one registered. :)
I really love this format better; no clicking on different pages to see responses. Yeah!

I was a regular poster for about 5 years and have lurked for the past year. I don't mind registering.
I have been on the board for quite a while but I get too busy and don't post. I do enjoy reading all the posts and hope to participate more now, especially since this is so much fun!

Delurking to say hi, since I had to register. :)
I am a homeschool-wanna-be who has been lurking for years. I first read TWTM 4 years ago and have been hooked ever since. We supplement our iffy school curricula for our 8yo and 6yo.

in that I read more than I posted, but I DID post.
Been away since before Christmas (long story, involving, in part, an entire cup of coffee dumped on my computer on Christmas day at Disneyland).
Returned to find this format and thought Ick! Pooey! But I have to say that it's already growing on me.
And what the heck? It was a good time to change my board name.....

I prefer the old way of doing things (makes it easier for lurkers to pick and choose what to read) but since all forums seem to go this route, I guess I need to join the 21st century, too. Actually, I agree with the philosophy behind this change (security) and I should embrace technology since I am a computer programmer by trade/education (and trying to get back into that world). So, hi all.:D

I've mostly lurked but have participated a bit more over the last year or two. I feel like I know so many of you and now with the pictures I feel like I know everyone all the more. I'll soon figure out the avatar stuff and add one myself.

This is my first post ever. I am a mom of one. I afterschool my daughter and use the information I have learned to better her public school education. I haven't posted because I didn't think I had much to say. I work full time and am a single parent. It is good to see the faces of the names I have learned so well the last three years!:D

Okay, now I'm realizing why I was always a lurker! I live in Hawaii and my primary time for being online is late at night when the rest of you are probably asleep! I'm not unfriendly, just an insomniac!

Raising my hand over here...though I too think the term "lurker" sounds creepy. I've only posted on the old boards 2-3 times, but have found a wealth of info on them over the past 4 years. We've been in Japan for almost 3 years now, so the time difference affected my involvement...that and the old forums were simply easier to scan through and not be too involved in.

This is exactly my setiment. I posted a few times before but really wondered why we were using that. With the new format, it's so much better and easier. I don't have to open all those links to follow a conversation, it's better organized. I'll be here more too.

I posted a handful of times on the old boards but read them most every day. I have two kids but they are young...4 and 15 months...so I sort of feel like a homeschooling-wanna-be-mom. We plan on homeschooling and I love coming here and looking at people's blogs to get ideas and be inspired. But I haven't felt like I have much to add to the conversation....yet. :)

I'm a semi-lurker. I've been coming to these boards for about 4 years, but don't post very often. I'm kind of a shy personality who rarely speaks up in large groups, so I guess that's consistent here, too.

I rarely post, but have been lurking for years. I registered, though, just in case. I afterschool and summer school my 2 ds - 7th and 3rd. My 7th grader is in a Christian school and my 3rd grader is in ps. My younger ds has some learning issues, so I love the special needs board.

but with the new boards I decided to take the plunge & register. I just did my intro above, but in a nutshell, here it is: 3 dc (ds10, dd almost 8, ds4), first year homeschooling, ds4 is in preschool this year. I'm happy to be out in the open. I enjoy these boards & have picked up a lot of good information & advice here. Hopefully I'll be able to add some, too.
