I know about Paula's archives http://www.redshift.com/~bonajo/index.htm

I know about Donna Young http://www.donnayoung.org/

I know about using glass instead of plastic.

I know the dangers of plastic water bottles leaching chemicals.

I know that the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice is the best one there is.

I know when popular tv shows are on, especially the season finales.

I know that TOG is not as overwhelming as it seems.

I know about many curricula choices out there but just don't use.

I know not to get too caught up in teaching young ones. They are only little once, enjoy it!

I know about "Peak Oil".

I know that is rude to ask someone "You do know what causes that, right?"

I know what snarky means.

I know Quiver's cinnamon rolls are wonderful even though I've not made them yet. I don't even know where to find the recipe.

I know that people hate it when someone leaves neg rep without attaching their name. (I just keep neg comments to myself anyway.)

I know about making workbooks for TOG for my children.

I know this is a place to find someone who has already gone through just about anything I may go through myself or need help in how to hep a RL friend.

Just about all my homeschool bookmarks and my bread making bookmarks have come from ladies here.

I know about Spark People.

I know about yahoo groups for sooo many things.

I get first hand movie and book reviews here.

Maybe not everything, but it's a lot that I didn't know before. I don't even remember how I found the boards! I don't even know who first told me about WTM book. I bet that's how I found the boards. I read the book and then searched for either SWB or the book online.

What about you?

I'm right there with you!!

I have learned to mill my wheat berries and make homemade bread.

I have learned the best family movies to get at Netflix.

I got a free month's code for Netflix from someone on this board.

I learned that home educators are extremely varied, which makes us interesting.

I learned that making bad choices on curriculum and dumping it is allowed.

I learned digital photography.

I learned how to customize my blog.

I learned how to meal plan - well actually I'm working on that right now.

I learned that an IMAC is truly awesome.

I learned so much more but, mostly, I learned that I'm not alone on this journey!! Rather, I am surrounded by a very supportive community.

Thanks.

But, do you know about books?

And, more seriously, how about the SAT problem of the day?

Kareni

I have learned so much from these boards. Not only that, you all make me feel like I am in a community when I am not really feeling like I am living in one right now.
