Yesterday, we were out running errands. We had finished at one place and got in the van. Ds , the younger, suddenly decided he had to pee really really really bad. There was nothing around. Except an empty McD's cup. Yep, I told my child to pee in a cup. Never thought that would come out of my mouth. Sigh, what have I come to? Glad I did have him do that. Given the results, I really don't think he could have made it a second longer. :tongue_smilie:

Ya gotta do what ya gotta do. I guess I won't mention the time someone had to pee in a baby diaper.

Brings back a funny memory for us... we were looking at a remote cabin in the mountains near Fairbanks, AK and this particular one had an outhouse and my son had to go. But when I'd walk him to the outhouse, pull back the curtain and he'd see the wood bench with a hole... nope, not gonna happen. He had to go SO bad, but just wouldn't. There I stand calling out, "Just stand up and pee in the hole!"

When we were in the Philippines we visited an aboriginal village. My ds10 had to go and all they had in the entire village was one outhouse. Trouble was, the outhouse had a huge exotic spider right inside the door. Even though my dh offered to take care of the spider, ds10 refused the offer and decided to wait. It took 10 min. for him to decide to take dh up on his offer of spider eradicator!

We were traveling from PA to FL for the first time down I-95. Having left at 5:30am, we found ourselves smack dab in the middle of DC traffic during the worst part of the morning. My gallon of coffee kicked in and I needed to pee, BADLY. We creeped along...start, stop, start, coast, stop. We bugged out at the first exit we approached, but it was nothing but residential neighborhoods. We pulled over at a church hoping that someone was in doing paperwork or something, but the doors were locked. The kids and I ended up in the back of the van peeing in the portable potty seat. I almost wished I had a giant cup.

I actually told my kids they could have milk duds for breakfast this morning.

I had a terrible headache, ds isn't sleeping well at all and they saw the box up on the top shelf. They asked, and I said yes. Who needs nutrition first thing in the morning???

3 yrs ago we were headed from TX to Disneyworld, and got stuck in rush hour traffic, on the bridge over the Mississippi River. Ds (then 8) had to go really bad. We handed him an empty gatorade bottle, and said "here, use this." He of course refused, but his sisters begged to use it. They were not happy that they couldn't perform that neat little trick!
