The shrews are eating my strawberries!!! How do I get rid of shrews?

I just got more strawberry plants, and they have strawberries already started on them and the #&$% shrews are eating them! I finally have a good area for a garden, and can grown in it year long, and have three whole years to use it! I don't want it turning into a rodent buffet!

So far I've lost some strawberries and a pepper. I have a beautiful little eggplant growing, but they haven't seemed to bother that yet.

Advise please? Perferably organic, but I'll take what I can get.

I know: bad, bad.

You might try spraying the plants with diluted pepper sauce. That made the rabbits stop eating my lettuce one year.
