I am down 4 lbs this week. I don't really know how! I did track my intake and now that we've had some temps above freezing I got out three times to walk.

How was your week?

I actually gained 1 # and have no clue how. I didn't eat anything different then what I have been doing all along. I am sure next week will be better.

I am not doing very well. I have gained 3 lbs, and am not exercising at all. I am a bit stressed with a few areas of life right now, and am not motivated at all on my weight. The first 20 lbs came off so easy, now I am in a stall, due to not moving enough. Sigh.

I managed to not check myself on the scale all week. I did go out for 3 walks and did 10 sit ups each day. I am proud of the exercise thing, huge step for me. Way to go everyone, keep it up and keep moving.

I worked out six times - 30 minutes each day (Walk Away the Pounds). Once the ice melts I'll be walking outside! I only had a small piece of dd's birthday cake - the only junk all week.

I'm down 7 pounds in 2 weeks.

I was down a 1lb this week, I need to start working out but I'm waiting until after vacation to that. So for now moderation and I'll start my Leslie Sansone Walk Jog when I get back. :)

You'll get a good amount of walking at Disney!! How do you like the Walk Jog? How long is it? I'm getting tired of the 2 mile workout!

bad bad bad. I'm hibernating. Not going anywhere. Not walking. And I'm eating comfort food. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y63/posiepie/sad0002.gif

I have been playing Wii as I said I would, but I'm afraid that will do me no good right now. I am the hairless equivalent of a mother bear in hibernation. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y63/posiepie/bear_sleeping_lg_blk.gif

But I am down a little. Maybe a pound and a half? But I did get out and run 4 days, I skied 1 day! I tracked my eating but only one day. :( I think I'm getting water in. More than before but still not enough.

I'll continue with running 3-4 days a week. Track food and 1 L water/.

I lost only half a pound. My son was in the hospital 4 days (not admitted, just back and forth to the treatment room for bloodwork and IVs), so I didn't work out at all really. I didn't track what I ate. I didn't get much water. Not a great week.

I stayed the same this week. I am ok with that- I was sick last week, so I am glad that I kept off the weight.

Congrat's to those of you who are happy with your results, and to those who are less than happy...don't beat yourselves up-you Can do it!

Best wishes,

I lost a pound. Maybe a little more. Eating was tough - end of the month - we were eating what we had in the cupboards, not produce.

I attended two exercise classes, so that feels on track.

I'm down about a pound. I exercised 6 days. Rowing machine 5x at 40-45 min each, and one walk for 40 min.
But I didn't do well with my eating.

Last time at Disney I lost about 2lbs and ate everything! I like the walk/jog it's 2.5 miles and about 45 minutes total. I just wish sometimes you could mute out their voices and just hear music when you've done it so many times (not that I've done it much lately!).

I lost .6 lb. That's the right direction, which is a switch. I worked out three times, but I've already missed 2/3 of those opportunities this week. This week is awful, with a funeral and all sorts of challenges.

I weigh in on Thursday mornings, so I don't know if I've gained back 3 pounds or lost more than that so far. My eating has been really good. I haven't been exercising, though. I NEED to exercise... :)

Glad to see all of you posting in this thread!

I am ok with that, because I made my goal to eat 5 to 6 meals a day. I know it's going to take some time but I will get there. ;)
I think you gals are just what I need. Thanks to all of you. :)

I'm down a pound and finally ran at 6 mph on my treadmill! Yippee! Of course it was only for a 3 minute interval, but I've never been able to make it before. Even if I didn't drop weight then I consider this week fruitful. Thanks for keeping me accountable!

I didn't lose or gain, but I'm exasperated. By the time I had finished lunch today, I had eaten 1500 calories! I actually drove by LA Weight Loss *twice* today, but I'm too cheap to spend money on something I should be able to do on my own. To me, this looks super healthy. Would a skinny person eat this much?

This is what I ate:
Bfast:
2/3 C. dry oats
10 almonds
1.5 tsp. sucanat
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. Naked raspberry juice (65 cal)

Snack:
1 medium apple

Lunch:
1/2 C. kamut pasta
1 tbsp. cheese sauce (50 cal)
1 serving canned salmon
1 bag baby carrots
1 "healthy" peanut butter cookie, made with 100% whole wheat flour (200 cal.)

a pound this week. I exercised twice, but I could "feel" my cesarean incision both times:(. It's my 2nd one in 18 months, so I think I just need time to heal. We're leaving for Disney on Thursday--cruise on Sat.:D

I was down 4 pounds and then have gained 2 back. I'm focusing on finishing this elimination diet this week though. For the first time in over a year I'm actually not in constant searing pain!
For some weird reason corn and wheat do a number on my muscles. I'm sure that being pain free will help motivate me to move more!

A day late, but I'm down 1.6 lbs more. A total of 10.6 lbs so far.

I've been using this nasty wet weather as an excuse, but since winter seems to have no desire to end anytime soon, I think I need to haul the treadmill out of storage. (That'll count as one day's workout in itself!)

You're right- it is healthy, but looks calorie packed. I see lots of protein, but the truth is that you have to take out what you put in. KWIM? Are you exercising? If so, then your body will utilize a lot of what you eat. I don't consider myself skinny, but I've learned my body and how it loses weight. In order for me to drop then I have to exercise and burn a significant amount of calories. For example, I run every AM for 45 min (about 2.5 miles) on my treadmill. My treadmill shows that I burn about 430 calories. So immediately in the AM I am in the negative for my calories. That gets "the big wheel spinning" for the day. For breakfast I have 4 egg whites with one piece of turkey bacon which ends up being about 150 calories. For lunch I have about 400 cal. and I save the rest for supper. I know that you are not supposed to eat big at supper, but that's what works for me. Even then, my supper is usually no more than 500-600 cal. If I'm feeling hungry in between then I have a small orange or some popcorn (not the buttery kind). Yes, it is tough, but fruitful. There are many nights that I go to bed feeling like I could eat 5 bowls of Lucky Charms, but I force myself to just go to bed. In the AM it feels great to feel empty and lighter. So you may need to tweak your diet a bit to eliminate some of the calories. Just cutting the extras in your meals can significantly cut calories. I would also be careful not to be fooled by the "healthy" food. Although peanut butter is full of protein, it is also full of calories and good fat. When it comes down to it, you will need to use those calories to lose weight. I hope you find your balance. Just know you definitely are not alone in the fight! HTH!

I am glad that works for you. Looking at the calorie count, it seems low. I wish I could eat like that, but my nutritionist would call it restricting. That's the difficulty. I know how to get the pounds off, but if I cut my calories low enough to lose quickly, then I am told I am relapsing into the old anorexic behaviors. When I eat the calories that the nurses and therapists consider high enough, it is very hard to drop the pounds. Sometimes I get frustrated when I have friends who can eat very little and no one thinks anything of it, but when I do there are comments and questions. Just venting my frustration. . .

You're right it is a little low. I'm only 5' tall so it's easy to gain weight here. I can eat much more calories and just maintain. I usually restrict my calories on the weekdays, and give in a little more on the weekends. I'm sure that most nutritionists would say that my calories are too low for the norm, but I do try fill my diet with high protein, lots of fruits, and I really don't pay much mind to fats. I wish we could just eat whatever and all our homeschooling would burn off calories! LOL!

Oh man, is this a perfect description of me or what? Comfort food all the way. In fact, I had that exact thought last night, as I scooped into the warm macaroni and cheese. It is 17 below, after all!

Glad I'm not the only one. :(

I lost 2 lbs. But I'm pretty sure it's all thanks to the stomach flu. I really didn't do a good job watching what I ate this week.

We started the Beth Moore Bible study on the book of Daniel last week and she challenged us to just say "I'll pass" to indulgences. She meant food and non-food. Yes, there are things we can partake of, but she encouraged us to learn to say "I can....but I won't." I'm gonna try.

I haven't had anorexia, but had friends and family who have dealt/are dealing with this. I know that concentrating on weight loss can be very difficult - ignore those calories! Ignore the nutrition facts altogether! Eat foods that you know are wholesome, eat when you're hungry, don't eat when you're not. I believe that in doing this, our bodies know what they need when they need it and will balance out to their ideal weight.

Um...I'm not a professional, I'm just a busy-body. Please ignore or correct me when I cross the line.

I weighed myself and I'm sure that there is something wrong with my scale. It says I dropped 7 lbs. in 2 weeks. How is that possible? Am I going to get a rude awakening when I go to the 'Y' tomorrow?

exercise:
Last week I got in 5 days - 1 day 35 minute nordic walking, 2 days of 15 min. cardio on elliptical and 30 minutes of weights, 2 days of 35 minutes on the elliptical.
this week, 30 minutes nordic walking. My exercise partner has been babysitting her granddaughter all week so I haven't had the gumption to go out into the cold myself.

Food:
On every day that I have tracked, I have stopped counting when I had 200 calories over what SparkPeople says I should have, so I am probably eating 2000-2100 calories a day. Pretty much why I need to lose over 20 lbs.

My clothes aren't any looser, so it just can't be right.

Okay, the scale says 159.

I'm mostly a lurker here. I'm just starting to try to lose weight. I've been too scared to weigh myself, but forced myself to do it today. My current goals are to watch my portion sizes, cut out most sweets and exercise at least 4 times a week. It is hard because it has been very cold here (Michigan) and I just want to sit inside and eat comfort food. We have snow today though, so I'm sure I'll be out with my boys.
