We just read Rules by Cynthia Lord. It is a children's fiction book written by the mother of an autistic child. The main character is the older sibling. It was an honor Newbery winner last year. Our whole family enjoyed it. It is sad, but also LOL funny, too. The older siblings will surely see themselves in the main character. It generated a lot of discussion. BTW, my son is not officially ASD, but he does share some characteristics. And we were still able to enjoy the book.
