My son is on a 15 hour bus trip to a winter retreat in the Smoky Mountains. My husband is out of town so dd (15) and I are relaxing. We went to the mall today and enjoyed Build a Bear. I think you're never too old for Build a Bear, right? Tonight we may see a movie and tomorrow her friend is sleeping over. We are doing a biology lab this afternoon, but that will be fun for us too! I told son (18) jokingly that we'd enjoy his time away. He said he could manage to be away a lot more often but I guess we'll save that for college. LOL!:)

Unfortunately, we are all sick!:( We have influenza and sinus infections. 3 of the 5 have had the flu now and 4 of the 5 have had sinus infections. So, we are just home trying to recover. We didn't even get any school done this week!

Thankfully, basketball was cancelled due to the extreme cold so we didn't have to figure out how to get the one healthy child to that.

For once my house is actually clean so no major housecleaning projects this weekend. My mom and stepdad are having b'days next week, so we may take them out to dinner tonight. There was a chance the weather would turn snowy...unfortunately, here in MS that "chance" rarely becomes a reality. Sigh.:) Hope you both have a great girl's weekend!

I power cleaned the house today, did the laundry and cooked a yummy but easy dinner. The girls are away with friends for the weekend..so it's just hubby and our little man. Tomorrow were going to another post to shop and then home to relax.

Awanama...hope you and your family will be feeling better soon!

This morning 2 Basketball games, this afternoon 1 soccer game and then get everyone ready for the sitter for 5:30 pm. We were invited to a "Limo-party" . It's a B-day party, 6 couples get picked up in a Limo and go to "The Greek Wedding" themed dinner party. Looking forward to a night out with hubby:D.

I don't know. DH woke up sick this morning, took a vitamin and some juice and promptly fell back into bed. BabyGirl, who is also sick, is keeping him company (or something like that - I haven't worked up the courage to back there too often! LOL!) The rest of us are being lazy, hoping it'll snow so we don't have to do any actual work. The house is clean, the pantry is stocked, the books are waiting! Come on, snow, sweet snow!

If that doesn't pan out, we'll work on the storm windows *still...* and the pinewood derby cars.

Tomorrow is my youngest's 8th birthday. I should be cleaning the house and getting ready for the 25 people due here tomorrow afternoon. For now, I'm hiding at the computer while dh and one of our neighbors work on setting up our new tv. It doesn't sound good in there.

Today I'm having an alone day (Husband took the three boys to the Field Museum to see the map exhibit) where I can clean my house and learn how to use these new boards. I may be spending more time on the boards then I am on my cleaning and laundry. (I still need to figure out how to put faces into my postes)

It's a lovely spring-like day. It would be perfect weather for riding, but we've got all the mucking, grooming, hoof trimming etc. to do first. That'll take all day. Well, at least it's good exercise!

The actual temp is only -10.8', but the windchill is crazy cold. So, we are indoors. Dh is looking forward to tomorrow...The big Football game in Green Bay.:D I'll be cooking and decluttering or curled up with a good book & coco.

We are staying in! We are under a wind chill advisory, so we aren't going out this weekend. I will try to get some pre-spring cleaning done, we'll probably watch a movie or two, have some computer time, plan for this coming week, and just do whatever!

Getting food. We were supposed to be out of town, but little one fell ill. Now need a plan for cooking this weekend. Also trying to figure out a stoopid crochet pattern. Well, maybe it's me that's stoopid on this one. Supposed to be slippers, but I am stinking at them. I will get them figured out if my fingers fall off from all the crocheting!
And just taking it easy.

I am hoping to just survive. My husband has been away since Sunday and won't be back until next Saturday. Everyone is on edge and very very sensitive. What I would really like is a few hours ALONE! But that isn't going to happen so I will concentrate on keeping the house standing, the kids healthy and everyone sane until he comes home.

And of course, there are always the old standbys, housework and errands. Not a bunch of fun stuff, unfortunately!

Jenne,

Boy can I relate to this! We are overseas right now, and my dh had to fly back to the States for 12 days. We're used to him traveling, but it's been a while since he's been gone for so long. I don't like being a single parent! I finally had to set some serious rules about following me around this apartment--when I am in the bathroom, stay OUT for crying out loud!!

Hang in there, and here's a virtual {{hug}} for you. We can survive!! :)
