Buying a used calculator?....

What are you thoughts on buying a used graphing calculator on Amazon or ebay? We need one and they are pretty expensive, but I dont want to buy used and have it not work properly.

DD lost the scientific calculator that was required for geometry. (She attends the local HS of the Arts.) We bought a used through one of the resellers on Amazon. It worked fine, and cost 1/3 of a new one.

We bought a TI-83 graphing calculator on eBay for our son a few years ago. It was less than half of new and is still going strong.
