American history

What do you think of BJU American history? Does the DVD add anything to the course? How does it compare to Notgrass?

First, as a disclaimer, I haven't used BJU American history. We did use Notgrass American History this year, and I loved it. However, a friend of mine used BJU for her dd. They both hated it. Thought it was boring, and too much on the Christian missionaries, and not enough on other things. They dropped it partway through the year and picked up something else. I have heard good things about the BJU dvd series in general so it might be better than just the books.
