We are now planning for the two boys to go to school at the same time. They will be aged 13 and 16 (good entry ages for UK private schools).

We have five years before then, so lots of time to set them in the right direction. What things would you have done the same/differently to prepare your children? Curriculum/learning choices? Practical skills? Social coping skills?

Many thanks

Laura

The only skill I think essential fro adapting from homeschool to traditional school is learning to work within set time limits. Otherwise, preparing them academically is in my mind the same. THey need to know how to use MLA format, show their work, include units in their math for both math and science, etc......but those are skills I think they need to have regardless.
