In Mass, minimum wage is $8/hour, with no decrease for teens.
What is it in your state?

* £5.52 per hour for workers aged 22 years and older
* A development rate of £4.60 per hour for workers aged 18-21 inclusive
* £3.40 per hour for all workers under the age of 18, who are no longer of compulsory school age.
At current rates that's about USD 10.80 for adults, USD 9.00 for 18-21 year olds, and USD 6.69 for under 18s. The UK cost of living is higher than that in the US.

And why is this question here, you wonder?
Because I don't know how to delete posts -- this is obviously on the wrong board, sorry. I automatically clicked on this board without realizing it.
Laura, the cost of living in Massachusetts is also higher than in most of the U.S., which is why the minimum wage is so high here.
