How often do you schedule these two classes and for how long? Also, where do you plan to go with your kids after this?
I ask because your post, among with pretty much all of the others here, have influenced me greatly. I have bought the Thomas Jefferson Education book that you recommended (the wife's home companion) and have only had time to read bits and pieces of it.
However, I have started to make a few changes that I can sustain for now. My kids will be doing math now 6 days per week, not the other subjects for now. I'm trying to squeeze everything in as little time as possible so they can have free reading time. I have not prepared them for a T J education, because I'm just too unorganized. But I'm getting there. Right now, I'm just trying to be an example by changing myself first. It's coming along slowly.
