I saw one advertised specifically to go along with Apol. Biology, in the "Homeschoolingbooks.com" catalog. Would this be good to get, or will it just sit on the shelf?

I would think the coloring book overkill unless your child would enjoy it.

We just finished Apologia Biology and there was no coloring book mentioned in the text. There are instruction to draw and color some pictures and diagrams throughout the text and I think this is more then sufficient.

The one for Apologia's Advanced Biology book titled: The Human Body: Fearfully and Wonderfully Made which says that students needs The Anatomy Coloring Book by Wynn Kapit and Lawrence M Elson. This one *is* necessary I think.

HTH!
Lisaj, who is doing Advanced Apologia Biology next year we hope

I picked up a biology coloring book at a teaching store and the one thing it was helpful with were the dissection notes (for instance, Apologia biology doesn't have in-depth pages for the frog dissection. They tell you to find them either online or from another source).

Other than for the dissection models, I didn't use it.
