I just put a new thread up why is it that

my enevlope is closed with an arrow across it? Also, it doesn't come up when I search under new posts just if I go to the specific board? This happened to me when I posted a thread before too. Anyone know what I need to do in order to change it?

The closed envelope w/ arrow means that you have a post in that thread (if you hover your mouse over the little icon, a message pops up that tells you the exact number of posts you have in that thread). It doesn't show up in new posts because there have been no new posts to that thread that have not already been viewed. At least, I think that's right.

The envelope is closed, I believe, because no one has responded yet.

The arrow accross the envelope, I believe, means you have posted in that particular thread. Since it's your thread, there would be an arrow accross the envelope.

Yes, exactly. Because you have already viewed the thread, it will not show up in your search for "new posts".
