Do your children use it independently or do they require a lot of help from you? What grade levels are you using or have you used?

We are using it for a 7th grade boy. We use all subjects except Bible and Literature. I work usually about 32 hours a week at a small grocery store. This is the first time I have worked since we started homeschooling 5 years ago.

He is doing well with the work and does most of it independently. He had used the curriculum many years ago in a Christian school, so it was not entirely new to us.

At the beginning of the school year, he had a little trouble with my being gone so much, but that has gotten better. I guess he was not used to working independently. Dh works shift work, so he is here some of the time that I am not.

ACE is written to the student and is meant to be less teacher intensive. I have worked in an ACE school and they have several grades of students in one room with a teacher and a helper. At least that was our experience in two different schools. So, the student is expected to be able to extract the knowledge from the PACEs for himself as much as possible.

I do supplement with reading, geopgraphy, art, writing skills, copywork, and Bible reading. I hope to get going with Latin soon.

This is way more than you asked for, but I hope it helped.
